Jon Teo
I am a wedding photographer from Boston who recently relocated to Singapore. My style can be described as photojournalistic, meaning I try to minimize my presence as much as possible (despite being 6’ 4”) so that I can take candid and beautiful photos that tell a memorable story of your wedding day!
To take advantage of my tall stature, I have developed a unique style of portraiture that uses a handheld lighting setup that would normally require an assistant. Additionally, if you have seen people shooting from an elevated angle to take flattering selfies, then you will understand what I mean when I say that
“I see the best in people all the time!”
To me, a wedding is a celebration of the union between two loving individuals with people that matter most to them. This belief is reflected in my photos, which focuses on capturing the emotions and expressions in people first, and a beautiful backdrop second.
A photo should look good, but more importantly, it should be timeless. This is possibly my most valuable take away having worked in the US and seeing amazing works from western photographers like Marriane Chua, Lena Mirisola and Kevin Mullin. If you are looking to preserve the precious moments of your wedding with photos that stand the test of time, I’d be happy to chat!
